Southern Illinois Printworks, a student organization from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, is pleased to announce the first ever Four Rivers Print Biennial. This national call is open to both traditional and digital forms of printmaking and the exhibition will be held at a brand new gallery, 304, home of Carbondale Community Arts.

Southern Illinois is located in the heart of the largest watershed in the contiguous United States. Bordered by the Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, and Wabash rivers, it is also surrounded by regions rich with the traditions of fine art printmaking. Much like the convergence of waterways, the Four Rivers Print Biennial will act as the confluence of contemporary prints by artists from across the country.

We are thrilled to present our inaugural juror, David Jones, Founder, Master Printer and Executive Director of the former Anchor Graphics, now merged into The Center for Book, Paper & Print at Columbia College in Chicago. Jones is also the current President of Southern Graphics Council International (SGCI).
